It seems Eminem and Snoop Dogg—longtime friends and both Dr. Dre protegés—have squashed their 2020 beef once and for all. After Snoop didn’t name Em in his list of the greatest rappers of all time, Eminem called out his friend in the 2020 track “Zeus,” saying, “Last thing I need is Snoop doggin’ me/ Man, Dogg, you was like a (Yeah) damn god to me/ Nah, not really (Haha)/ I had ‘dog’ backwards.”

The pair seemed to be on good terms again back in February, when they both joined Dr. Dre on stage for his Super Bowl performance. Now, that reconciliation has been made official with the arrival of “From The D 2 The LBC,” the duo’s first link-up since 2000’s “Bitch Please II,” alongside Dr. Dre, Xzibit, and the late Nate Dogg. Since it dropped, “From The D To The LBC” has held steady on the Genius Top Songs chart.

As the title suggests, “From The D 2 The LBC” sees Eminem and Snoop paying homage to their respective hometowns, Detroit and Long Beach, California. On the first verse, Eminem takes a trip to Long Beach and partakes in one of Snoop’s favorite activities.

In Californ-E, ’cuz my homie from Long Beach
Always got that bomb weed, that’s why I feel a calm breeze
Every time I palm trees (get it) just like that blonde bleach

Later in the verse, Em compares to the weed he’s smoking to one of Marvel’s strongest superheroes.

Cuz these buds are like The Hulk, they’re twice the size that his arm be (his zombie)
And that is some strong green

He ends his verse by switching gears a bit. He may be high, but that doesn’t mean he’s above putting younger rappers in their places. After all, everything they know, they learned from him.

But these little degenerates are my lineage, when it comes to pockets weren’t many if, any as skinny as mine bitch, I was penniless
Now I’m plenty rich, and the shit don’t make any sense (cents) I was in a motherfucking pinch like a titty twist
Now I’m sitting as pretty as each penny is, while I’m penning this in the lab on you guinea pigs

On the chorus, Eminem calls on the natives of popular Detroit (313) and Los Angeles (213) area codes to raise their blunts up in celebration.

Put your doobies high, if you reside in 213
Let’s see them blunts raised
Whether you Eastside or Westside of the 313
Let’s see them guns blaze

Snoop opens the second verse with shoutouts to the hook of Cardi B’s 2018 No. 1 hit “Bodak Yellow” and the 1999 sci-fi blockbuster The Matrix.

Make money moves like the matrix
Make more mount motivation

He later asserts himself as not only an influential rapper but a successful businessman. His stats back the claim up too—Snoop’s an investor in major companies like Reddit and popular cannabis brand Leafs, among other things.

You making a mockery, me a monopoly
Speak on my flow, my nigga I’m mopping ’em
Slept on my flo’ now niggas is copying

Snoop ends his verse by reflecting on how far both he and Eminem have come since getting their starts in the business.

Marshall and Calvin, both from the gutter like public housing
Now we both performing for 100s of thousands
Wearing no makeup, but we still be clowning muthafuckas!

“From The D 2 The LBC” arrived alongside a partially animated music video.
