Dr. LaToya Sims-Allen has been chosen to become the next principal at Vicksburg High School.
Allen recently served as principal of South Park Elementary where she was named as the VWSD Administrator of the Year in 2021. She remained as South Park’s principal from 2017 until the end of the 2022-2023 school year.
Allen is a native of Vicksburg and a graduate of Alcorn State University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Master’s in Education. She also has an Educational Leadership degree and a Doctorate of Education from Mississippi College.
Over her years in education, Allen has a great track record of success at each school she has been a part of during her educational career.
Allen will officially be in her new position later this summer.
VWSD is now searching for a principal at South Park Elementary.
